Olivia Rodrigo’s Drops Heartwarming Photos of ‘Meaningful’ Philippines Trip

Olivia Rodrigo is off on her Guts World Tour and recently shared heartwarming photos of her “meaningful” Philippines trip. The singer-songwriter, who is half-Filipina herself, took to social media to pen a heartfelt post after her first-ever concert in the country. Rodrigo revealed she donated the net profits from the ticket sales of the Philippines show.

Olivia Rodrigo shared an Instagram post shortly after the end of her concert in the Philippines. The singer noted that she had been “dreaming of this show” for a while. Rodrigo penned, “my first time in the Philippines and also my biggest venue ever.” The singer thanked Manila for welcoming her “so generously” and making her “feel so loved.”

Rodrigo then revealed that “all the net ticket sales from last night” could be donated to Jhpiego through the singer’s initiative, Fund 4 Good. The artist also shared she visited the non-profit organization while in Manila. Rodrigo noted she was “so impressed” with the work the organization is doing to provide healthcare to women and girls in the Philippines.

The singer wrote, “It was the most special show and the most meaningful trip.” She added, “To say I’m grateful doesn’t even cut it.” Besides, Rodrigo also shared photos from her visit to Jhpiego’s office.

Expectedly, fans were touched by the singer’s incredible deed. One wrote, “So so proud of you.” Another penned, “I don’t think people talk enough about how Olivia is committed to making the world a better place, to help people.” Meanwhile, a third dubbed Rodrigo a “Filipina icon” for “making tickets affordable.”

Jhpiego also thanked Rodrigo for joining them at the Philippines office. The Instagram post shared that the singer participated in a zine-making workshop during her visit. Several continued to praise the singer’s generosity.
