Sydney Sweeney ‘Sets Record Straight’ About Jonathan Davino Relationship

Sydney Sweeney wants to “set the record straight” when it comes to her relationship dynamic with her fiancé, Jonathan Davino. The actor recently graced the cover of Glamour magazine’s Women of the Year issue. Besides talking about her path to success, she also took the chance to shut down rumors surrounding her partner financially supporting her.

Sydney Sweeney reveals how she and Davino operate as a couple

During the Glamour interview, Sydney Sweeney explained her relationship dynamic with Jonathan Davino, who is 13 years older. The couple got engaged in 2022 after they began dating in 2018. Besides her successful acting career, the 27-year-old star also founded Fifty-Fifty Films, a development and production company. Although Davino was credited as a producer on her films “Anyone But You” and “Immaculate,” the 40-year-old didn’t financially back her career.

Sweeney noted, “I’m a very successful, independent woman who’s worked really hard.” The 27-year-old actor further shared that she has accomplished and bought everything herself and that she also provides for her family.

Following that, Sweeney continued to “set the record straight.” She took a dig at the baseless accusations and said, “You can be in a healthy relationship with someone and also be very successful without needing the man.” After Sweeney shared that she and Davino are “teammates,” she added, “We want to see each other succeed.”

The actor also revealed that she is a “huge saver.” She explained that she came from a family where she saw her parents “lose everything.” Sweeney confessed, “I am terrified of that. That fear will always be instilled in me.” The “Euphoria” star then revealed that she doesn’t spend money on a whim but likes to invest instead. However, Sweeney candidly remarked that she doesn’t feel comfortable even when she likes to make “smart choices with the money.”
