The 55-year-old won the coveted $1 million prize money and even a new car. However, despite winning the talent show, Goodall is planning to keep his job as a janitor for some time, which he revealed in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Richard Goodall, the winner of “America’s Got Talent” Season 19, received the Golden Buzzer from Heidi Klum early in the season, which made him popular among the audience. Recently, during an Entertainment Weekly interview, he was asked whether he would keep his janitor’s job at an elementary school in Indiana. Notably, he had worked there for the past 23 years. In response, Goodall said, “I mean, yeah, I plan to for a while still yet.” He further shared his plan to “invest a little, and then plan smart.”
“We’re not fancy people,” Goodall emphasized, referring to him and his wife, Angela. Additionally, the talented singer explained that he and his wife plan everything together. He further revealed that whatever they plan to do in the future, it would not be lavish. Richard Goodall added, “We’re just regular people and the money is… we just try to be conservative about it.” He expressed that they do not have any idea regarding what their future holds for them, but they do not have any expectations as well.
When asked about the possibility of a future album or tours, Goodall said that he does not know anything yet. However, he and his wife are open to all new possibilities when it comes to music or anything else.
