Thalia Graves, an alleged victim of Sean “Diddy” Combs, has filed a new lawsuit against the music mogul. Graves claims Diddy and his bodyguard, Joseph Sherman, drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2001 and also recorded a video of the said assault. The lawsuit comes in light of recent developments in the case against the music producer and his arrest from a New York City hotel on September 16. Diddy now faces allegations of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution charges. He pleaded not guilty and remains in custody after a judge denied him bail.

Thalia Graves’ lawsuit describes horrific Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs incident

In her lawsuit, Thalia Graves has described an incident when Sean “Diddy” Combs and his bodyguard allegedly drugged and raped her. As per CNN, she filed the suit, which details the alleged ordeal from 2001, in a federal court in New York on Tuesday. Graves claims she was 25 when she first met Diddy, an acquaintance she made through her boyfriend who worked at the rapper’s record label, Bad Boy.

Thalia Graves then details the alleged Diddy incident from the summer of 2001, which the latter made a video of, in the lawsuit. The supposed victim reveals she was in a vehicle with Sean Combs, accompanied by his bodyguard and head of security, Joseph Sherman. They reportedly offered her a glass of wine, which she accepted. She claimed she started feeling “lightheaded, dizzy, and physically weak” after drinking the wine and subsequently lost consciousness.

Per the lawsuit, Thalia Graves alleges she then woke up to find herself naked in Diddy’s Manhattan studio with her hands tied at the back. Graves stated in the suit that after this, Combs came and raped her. According to her claims, he even bashed her head into a nearby pool table when she tried resisting his advances. The plaintiff described how she came in and out of consciousness, alleging that Combs’ bodyguard, Joseph Sherman, had also raped her.

Thalia Graves also mentioned that Diddy and Sherman had recorded a video of the alleged sexual assault, alleging that the two then released it and even showed it to others. However, she only found out about the video in November 2023 from her former boyfriend through whom she had first met the accused.

Graves’ lawsuit against Sean Combs addresses the aftermath of the alleged assault. She talked about the discomfort she felt afterward and claimed a delivery driver gave her a ride to the hospital. The plaintiff admitted that she did not report him as she was afraid “of what Combs would do to her and her family.” Even today, she suffers from severe depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, and has attempted suicide.

On the same day of filing the lawsuit against Diddy, Thalia Graves spoke at a news conference. Graves opened up about the “combination of physical and emotional pain” the alleged sexual assault has caused in her life. Furthermore, she stated that it “has created a cycle of suffering from which it is so hard to break free.” She further shared, “I want to continue on this journey towards recovery and healing. I’m glad that he is locked up, but that’s a temporary feeling of relief.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs is now in custody in a dorm-style room at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center after bail denial. Graves’ lawsuit is one among multiple civilian suits he faces. These come along with the charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

A federal indictment that led to his arrest last week revealed appalling details about Diddy’s “Freak Off” sex sessions. He allegedly lured, drugged, and forced women to participate in these sessions, which he recorded.

The case against Sean “Diddy” Combs is an ongoing saga with Thalia Graves’ lawsuit contributing to a fraction of it.
