Giannis Antetokounmpo revealed exclusively to People Magazine that he married Mariah Riddlesprigger in Greece. The NFL player was at a launch event in partnership with Degree when he made the announcement. Antetokounmpo recalled how the couple “always talked about” returning to Greece to tie the knot. He said that they made this decision “as a couple,” and were able to have people close to them, including their family, attend the wedding.
Antetokounmpo also noted that most of his “Bucks teammates, ex-teammates” were in attendance. He added that his friends and business partners also attended the wedding. The NFL player continued to say, “My kids were there.” The couple share three children – daughter Eva Brooke, and sons Maverick Shai and Liam Charles. Meanwhile, the duo, who have kept their personal lives private, have not yet made the announcement on social media.
Furthermore, Antetokounmpo did not share the exact date of their wedding with the publication. He however revealed that their intimate wedding took place “four hours away” from their hometown. The NFL player said, “We had an incredible few days there together. We had fun. It was a celebration of our love. Now we’ve become one. And I’m happy that we did it. I feel like a lot of people had fun.”
