WWE’s Ric Flair & Wendy Barlow Breakup Over Work Schedule

WWE legend Ric Flair has announced his split from his longtime partner, Wendy Barlow. The professional wrestler took to social media to share a statement in which he opened up about the reason for their breakup. This is not the first time Flair and Barlow decided to part ways. The WWE star and his partner previously broke up in 2022 but reconciled later.

New York Post reported that Barlow and Flair met in 1993 for the first time while working in WCW. She was his valet for a short time. The couple held a wedding ceremony in 2018, however, they previously told People Magazine that they were never legally married.

On Monday, Ric Flair shared the statement on his X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts. The 75-year-old noted that he and Wendy Barlow “Enjoyed 13 Great Years.” The WWE Hall of Famer continued, “As With Every Couple, We Have Experienced Our Ups And Downs.”

Flair then noted that he and Barlow have “Decided To Part Ways Respectfully.” He wrote, “I’ll Never Ever Be Able To Thank Her Enough For Standing By My Side Through My Terrible Health Crisis In 2017.” Flair added that Barlow never left his side. “And For That I Will Always Be Grateful!,” he penned.

Flair continued in the statement, “We Both Are Working On Different Projects At The Current Time & It Becomes Difficult With My Schedule & Her Schedule To Make This Work.” Towards the end, he wrote, “I Wish Her The Best Of Luck With Her Projects, And I Know That She Supports Mine!”

According to People Magazine, Flair was rushed to the hospital in August 2017 due to stomach pains. Following that, Flair, who had been abusing alcohol, was in the early stages of kidney failure. He was also nearing congestive heart failure at the time. Flair was in a medically induced coma and had only 20% odds of surviving. The doctors later removed part of his bowel and inserted a pacemaker.

Flair was previously married to Leslie Goodman from 1971 to 1983. He went on to tie the knot with Elizabeth Harell, and they were together from 1983 to 2006. Following that, Flair was married to Tiffany VanDemark from 2006 to 2009, and later to Jackie Beems from 2009 to 2014.
