Doja Cat seemingly addresses engagement rumors but deletes tweet later

Doja Cat seemingly addressed engagement rumors after her iHeartRadio Music Festival performance in Los Angeles on September 21. The singer fueled dating rumors with Joseph Quinn after she flaunted a ring on her left hand’s ring finger. According to Page Six, she soon went to X to clarify the situation.

In a now-deleted tweet, Doja Cat said, “no, im not engaged its a David Yurman ring with no rocks in it.” The singer was performing her hit song “Agora Hills” when she paused and held out her hand, showing the ring. She then sang the lyrics, “Rub it in their face, put a rock on her hand,” as the crowd cheered loudly. This marked the beginning of fans speculating about her engagement.

The incident comes over a month after Doja Cat and Joseph Quinn were spotted getting cozy at Dingwalls. Gossip blog Deuxmoi shared the photo on their social media account. The rumored couple were then papped holding hands during a stroll in London in August. The singer sported a sheer black crop top and a black skirt with pockets with matching sunglasses. Meanwhile, the 30-year-old actor opted for a more casual outfit in a blue shirt and black pants.

Rumors about their dating surfaced in 2022 when Doja Cat DM-ed Quinn’s “Stranger Things” co-star Noah Schnapp. Doja reportedly asked the latter to set her up with Quinn. However, after Schnapp made their conversation public in a now-deleted video, the singer expressed her disappointment with the 19-year-old for sharing it online.
