Billie Eilish Reveals Which Presidential Candidate She Endorses

Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas have officially endorsed a presidential candidate. To celebrate National Voter Registration Day (which is today), the two took to social media to announce which candidate they’ll be voting for and why.

In a not-so-shocking move, Billy Eilish is the latest celebrity to announce they’ll be voting for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Neither Eilish sibling has ever expressed any sympathies for the Republican party, so this is not a dramatic defection for the two.

Billie Eilish explained why she was voting for Harris in a video published to Instagram and X:

“We are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet, and our democracy.”

Finneas elaborated his reasons behind voting Democrat in the same video:

“We can’t let extremists control our lives, our freedoms, and our future. The only way to stop them and the dangerous Project 2025 agenda is to vote and elect Kamala Harris.”

The message ended with a dramatic statement, “Vote like your life depends on it, because it does.”

Strangely, Finneas mentioned the implementation of conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 mandate as being a risk of a Trump presidency even though the Republican candidate has publicly disavowed any connection with it. In a Truth Social post dated July 5, 2024, Trump wrote, “I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them.”

The Eilish siblings are just the latest major celebrities to endorse Harris. Taylor Swift recently gave her support to the Democrat ticket, which garnered a strong response from Trump.
