Pop sensation Tate McRae is seemingly topless in the music video for her new single “It’s Ok I’m Ok.” She dropped her latest single, which is a collab with ILYA, Savan Kotecha, and Ryan Tedder, on Thursday, September 12. Additionally, the racy video contains several references to Britney Spears and The Pussycat Dolls. Throughout the lyrics, however, McRae makes a statement to her exes that she’s not jealous and has long moved on.

In the music video, Tate McRae goes all out in sultry behavior, sporting the sexiest possible outfits. During the initial dynamic sequences, the 21-year-old is strutting on the streets of NYC, following which comes a wild arrest scene. McRae, blurred from the front and the back, bares it all out, only wearing a pair of thigh-high boots as officers try to detain her. The following scenes further include clips of her dancing to a thrilling number in saucy ensembles. Additionally, a few uncensored visuals include the “Greedy” singer dancing on top of a police car.

Tate McRae’s “It’s Ok I’m Ok” music video is nothing short of a smash hit from director Hannah Lux Davis. Moreover, the Britney Spears and The Pussycat Dolls references make it even more iconic, with a splash of nostalgia. The video draws inspiration from Britney Spears’ “I Wanna Go” and “Womanizer,” and from The Pussycat Dolls’ “When I Grow Up.”

Besides the euphoric visuals, the lyrics of McRae’s new single are as plain and straightforward as possible. She addresses her ex’s new partner, singing, “No, nothin’ could make me miss it / Take him, he’s yours.” The chorus goes, “It’s ok, I’m ok, had him in the first place.”

The music video for Tate McRae’s new song is out on YouTube.
