Hawk Tuah Girl Shows Off Strange Matt Rife Pillow in New Podcast

Hawk Tuah girl Haliey Welch, who revealed her celebrity crush is Matt Rife, is now showing off a strange pillow of the comedian in the latest episode of her new podcast, “Talk Tuah.” The overnight internet sensation shared her liking for Rife on Whitney Cummings’ podcast a month ago. Shortly after, Welch met him during one of his tours. She shared pictures from the meeting on social media, including one where she is holding the same pillow. Now, it seems the Matt Rife pillow has made it back to the Hawk Tuah girl’s home and is one of her prized possessions.

Haliey Welch is not letting go of her celeb crush Matt Rife in a new video

The Hawk Tuah girl, Haliey Welch, is not ready to let go of her celebrity crush. In fact, she has even made it evident in her new podcast video. She dropped the first episode of “Talk Tuah” on YouTube, showing off her bizarre pillow of Matt Rife at the start. This comes weeks after the internet personality revealed the comedian was her celebrity crush on Whitney Cummings’ podcast.

Cummings is also the first guest on Welch’s newly-launched podcast in Episode 1 titled “I SAID HAWK TUAH AND NOW I’M HERE w/ Whitney Cummings.” The Hawk Tuah girl has posted pictures and videos of her Matt Rife pillow since she first acquired it during the latter’s Problematic World Tour. She has also shared a series of photos on her Instagram from her first meeting with the comedian.

One picture shows Welch holding the pillow, and the caption reads, “Matt was everything I dreamed of.” Rife also posted a sequence of photos with Welch, including a few comical ones where she is seemingly spitting into his hands. This was a clear reference to the viral “Hawk Tuah” video, owing to which she established a name.

Matt Rife was previously the internet’s boyfriend and not just Hawk Tuah girl’s celebrity crush. He has often found himself amid controversies due to his debatable jokes. Rife made a domestic violence joke in his first Netflix special ‘Natural Selection,’ while narrating a story about a waitress with a black eye. He faced instant backlash for the quip and responded via an Instagram story. He posted a link on his story that read, “Tap to solve your issue.” It redirected users to a website selling special needs helmets.

Later, Rife addressed the controversy in an interview with The New Yorker. He claimed that victims of domestic violence “also want to laugh at themselves.” He added, “Sometimes people need to laugh to heal through the things that make them uncomfortable.” The comedian also alleged that multiple abuse victims had reached out to him, offering their support, in light of the controversy.
