Kate Moss’ Sister Lottie Warns of Ozempic Side Effects After Seizure

Kate Moss’ sister Lottie Moss has warned people against the use of Ozempic as she opened up about the time she suffered a seizure. The model detailed the dangerous side effects of the medication. In recent years, Ozempic has become popular after several celebrities used the type 2 diabetes drug for weight loss. However, the medication has some serious side effects. Moss recently got candid on her “Dream On” podcast about her experience after using Ozempic. After talking about her “horrible” experience, she encouraged people to be happy with their weight.

Lottie Moss shared her Ozempic story in a new episode titled “My Ozempic Hell: I Had Seizures, A&E, Weight Loss.” The 26-year-old confessed that she “was not feeling happy” with her weight a few months ago and ended up trying it. Moss shared that a friend was able to get it for her “below [the] board.” She said, “It was from a doctor but it wasn’t like you go into a doctor’s office and he prescribes it for you.” Moss also informed that a person needs to do tests before going on “something like Ozempic.”

She explained that it is “a medication” and it is “dangerous,” further continuing, “It’s not really meant for weight loss of people that aren’t, you know, of a very large size.” Moss shared that the amount she was taking “was actually meant for people who are 100 kilos and over.” However, she was “in the 50s range.” The model then said she wished she had known “these small things” before taking it. After her friend got it for her, the model “injected” it into her leg and not her stomach to feel “less sick.”

Lottie Moss on Ozempic use: ‘It was the worst decision’

Moss said, “It was the worst decision I ever made.” She continued to warn anyone who plans on doing it and said, “Do not take it, like it’s so not worth it.” The model asserted, “I would rather die at any day than take that again.” She shared that Ozempic made her “feel so nauseous” as she took it for two weeks. “I’ve never felt so sick in my life,” Moss said, “I was throwing up, it was horrible.” She shared that she was dropping weight rapidly in just a few weeks. “That’s not a healthy weight loss,” Moss said.

Moss recalled she felt “so sick one day” and told her friend she couldn’t “keep any water down.” The 26-year-old continued, “I can’t keep any food down, like no liquids, nothing.” She then said she needed to go to the hospital because she felt “really sick.” The model shared that she has a picture from the time. “My eyes were almost like concaving in.” Moss continued saying that her face was “dead like there was no color in it.” She was then rushed to the ER at 3 a.m.

Moss met with a nurse who informed her that she was not meant to be taking the amount of dose she was on. After getting transferred to a different section of the ER, she had a seizure because of how dehydrated she was. The model said it “was the scariest thing that’s ever happened to me in my life.” Moss explained her “face was clenching up” and her “whole body was like, tense.”

She acknowledged how the recent media and celebrities “are on it right now” and experiencing dramatic weight losses as compared to those who struggle with losing weight. However, she hopes her talking about her experience “can be a lesson to some people that it’s so not worth it.” Moss also added that Ozempic is for diabetes and “not for weight loss, really.”
