Sabrina Carpenter’s VMA Alien Makeout Session Has Us Wanting ET To Phone Home

Sabrina Carpenter took to the stage during the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards for a medley of her biggest hits. Her space-themed performance featured a platoon of astronauts and one extraterrestrial that had us ready to blast off. The alien joined Carpenter for her rendition of “Taste,” and the two shocked the audience when they capped the song with a passionate kiss.

While Sabrina Carpenter looked attractive enough, we were all about that stupid, sexy alien. Unfortunately, no information has been released about the unnamed ET who joined Carpenter in a scene reminiscent of the 2003 VMA kiss between Britney Spears and Madonna.

Of course, some audience members had to take the opportunity to make the obvious joke. One quipped, “So kind of Sabrina to hire one of the illegal aliens who got transgender surgery in prison as one of her backup dancers,” in reference to comments Donald Trump made at the recent presidential debate.

Another viewer lamented, “Exactly why I’m f**king depressed. An alien is getting more action from a bad bitch than I ever could.”

The alien makeup was astonishingly good, so much so that Britney Spears responded to the performance with, “Why is she kissing an alien on stage? I adore her, I love her to death… Why didn’t she kiss a girl?” Spears is apparently unaware that underneath the mask the alien was indeed a human female (sorry to ruin the illusion for you all).

Carpenter is one of the year’s biggest stars, and it was her first performance on the main VMA stage. She managed to snag seven nominations this year, including:

  • Artist of the Year
  • Best Art Direction (for “Please Please Please”)
  • Best Direction (for “Please Please Please”)
  • Best Editing (for “Espresso“)
  • Best Pop Artist
  • Song of the Summer
  • Song of the Year

Unfortunately, this year was highly competitive, and Carpenter only managed to win Song of the Year.
