Halsey Announces Boyfriend Avan Jogia Now Has ‘Fiancé’ Status

Singer Halsey seemingly confirmed their engagement with Avan Jogia. After their VMAs appearance, Halsey replied to an X (former Twitter) tweet by changing Jogia’s status from boyfriend to “fiancé.” They subtly hinted at it earlier during an interview at the 2024 VMAs. The pop star and their now-fiancé first sparked rumors in September 2023, but the couple made it official the following month.

On the morning of September 12, Halsey shook up social media with a new announcement. X account Pop Base posted their statement from a VMA interview where the singer had shared that they wanted to get married to Jogia. The post’s caption said, “Halsey says she hopes to marry boyfriend Avan Jogia,” alongside a recent picture of the couple. Halsey then replied to the tweet, changing Jogia’s status to “***fiancé Avan Jogia.”

Although the singer posted it recently, the tweet has already garnered over 720K views and 46K likes. Fans have begun flooding the comments section with their best wishes for the pop star and their now-fiancé, Avan Jogia. As engagement rumors swirl around, the singer finally hinted at a prospective marriage. The rumors arose when Halsey was spotted wearing a gold band ring during a romantic outing with Jogia in July.

Meanwhile, at the 2024 MTV VMAs, Halsey hinted at the two’s marriage in the future. In an interview with E! News, Halsey answered the marriage question when they said, “I hope so.” They further gushed about Jogia and said, “Avan is the best. He’s one of the greatest things that ever happened to me… Every day I spend with him feels like I’m with my best friend.” The pop star also revealed that Jogia and their son, Ender Riley Aydin, have a special bond and are “inseparable.”
