Taylor Swift couldn’t stop herself from gushing about her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. The awards night celebrated several acclaimed musicians on Wednesday in New York. Swift led the VMA with 12 nominations this year and also bagged the Video of the Year award for “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone. But besides winning in seven categories, she made the audience swoon during her acceptance speech by giving a loving shout-out to Kelce.

Taylor Swift arrived on the 2024 VMAs stage to accept the Video of the Year award for “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone. During her speech, Swift shared, “This video seems very sad when you watch it.” She added, “But it actually was like the most fun video to make.” She continued to share that there is one thing she would always remember from filming the music video. “When I would finish a take and I’d say cut and we’d be done with that take,” Swift revealed, “I would always just hear someone like cheering and like ‘woo’ from across the studio where we were shooting.”
The singer further shared that the person was her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. The “Love Story” hitmaker continued to gush about the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. Swift said, “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic.” She then thanked Kelce for adding that element to filming the “Fortnight” music video. As expected, Swift’s shout-out to the NFL star was met with loud cheers from the audience.
Before the 2024 VMAs, fans of Swift and Kelce eagerly waited for them to make their first red carpet debut together. However, the Chiefs star wasn’t in attendance at the awards night. According to Page Six, Kelce had to return to Kansas City for practice. Nonetheless, fans are happy over the singer’s sweet mention of her boyfriend during her big win.
