Donald Trump Questions Debate Fairness: ‘It Was 3 Against 1’

Republican candidate Donald Trump’s first televised debate with Kamala Harris was hosted by ABC Network at The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia on Tuesday. However, the showdown did not go as the ex-president had anticipated, and it left him questioning the network’s integrity. Trump even mockingly called the “three-on-one” confrontation his “best debate ever.” The entire ordeal fueled the already heated situation in the U.S., in light of the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.

Donald Trump agrees to second debate if it’s on a ‘fair network’

The main focus of the argument was on the economic issues, border security, taxation, and housing problems. The Democratic candidate managed to not only corner Trump but also get him agitated with her witty answers.

When questioned if there would be a second debate, Trump immediately accused Harris of being backed up by the media. He added, “…she immediately said we want another debate…” However, the presidential nominee said he would participate in another debate only if it is on a “fair network.”

After the Tuesday episode, the internet has started to take the mickey out of Trump. His official Instagram handle is filled with all sorts of unkind comments. “You didn’t answer a single question,” one user comments. “There was one child on stage and an adult woman. She wiped the floor with you.” Meanwhile, many of Trump’s supporters have shown their sincere support for the 45th U.S. president, calling the debate an “ambush.”

In a conversation with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Trump accused ABC Network of playing favorites. He claimed that the network showed Kamala Harris in a positive light. Trump stated, “…they had a 100% positive coverage on ABC and 94% negative coverage…” He concluded his interview by saying that Harris’ team statistically lost the debate and that despite the bitter experience, he had “a great night.”
