Dave Bautista walked the 2024 TIFF red carpet looking significantly different as he flaunted his weight loss transformation. Several fans took to X (formerly Twitter) as they were shocked upon seeing his new look. A concerned user questioned if the retired wrestler is “shredding weight for a new movie” or if he’s “sick.” Another noted, “The fact that he’s lost muscle in seemingly a healthy way is actually a massive accomplishment!”
Bautista previously opened up about his weight loss in an interview with Chris Van Vliet. The “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor said, “I’m getting super trimmed.” He continued, “This is probably the lightest I’ve been since I was 19 years old.” Bautista continued to share that the “heaviest” he’s ever been was 370 lb. He said, “Throughout most of my wrestling career I was about 290 lb.” Bautista’s “The Killer’s Game” co-actress Sofia Boutella then asked him how much he weighs now. He replied that now he’s about 240 lb.
Bautista also shared that “the nightmare started” when he went up to 315 lb while working on the 2023 film “Knock at the Cabin.” The actor continued and said that getting the weight off “has been a challenge.” Bautista then shared that now he is “really particular” about his diet.
Bautista’s transformation has undoubtedly caught the fans’ attention.
