During a press conference at the festival, Clooney reacted to a report by The New York Times. The report stated that he and Pitt have received a $35 million paycheck each for their roles in the film. He claimed that their salary was “millions and millions and millions of dollars less than what was reported,” as per Deadline.

The highly anticipated film was all set to have a wide theatrical release. As mentioned above, 63-year-old filmmaker and actor George Clooney denied receiving a $35 million paycheck as his salary for “Wolfs” at the film’s press conference during the 2024 Venice International Film Festival. He said that both his and his co-star Brad Pitt’s payments were a lot less than what the report by The New York Times stated.

The actor further explained why he addressed the matter. As per Deadline, George Clooney stated that it would be bad for the entertainment industry if people believed that the figure reported was “the standard bearer for salaries.” He continued, “I think that’s terrible, it’ll make it impossible to make films.”

The much-awaited film “Wolfs” will depict the story of a professional fixer who has no other option but to work with another fixer on a high-profile case. Jon Watts serves as both the writer and director of the film. It will premiere on Apple TV+ on September 27, 2024.
