Charli XCX Songs Can Help Save Lives, Says American Heart Association

The American Heart Association (AHA) ruled Charli XCX’s songs from her latest album “Brat” have the “right tempo” for Hands-Only CPR. The organization revealed that the English singer, whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison, can potentially save lives with her two songs, “360” and “Spring breakers.” Here’s everything AHA has said.

AHA lists Charli XCX songs with the right tempo for hands-only CPR

The American Heart Association listed two songs from Charli XCX’s latest studio album, “Brat,” that sit right for CPR. In two recent Instagram posts, the organization revealed that the songs “360” and “Spring breakers” have the right tempo to perform the emergency procedure and save lives.

In their first post for Charli XCX’s “360,” AHA ruled the song “has 120 beats per minute, the right tempo for Hands-Only CPR.” The caption read how “It’s not #BratSummer unless you’re bumpin’ the beat of “360” by @charli_xcx to remember the tempo for Hands-Only CPR.” Additionally, it noted the steps to save a life, “If you see a teen or adult collapse, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest.”

American Heart Association’s second but similar post for Charli XCX’s “Spring breakers” revealed that this song also “has 120 beats per minute,” spot on for CPR. Again, the organization ruled this is “the right tempo for Hands-Only CPR.” The caption mentioned how they “aren’t ready for brat summer to end! Thanks to @CharliXCX for the vibe and for this lifesaving beat.” Moreover, it mentioned the two easy steps to follow Hands-Only CPR.

The AHA’s posts on Charli XCX’s “Brat” songs and rightness for performing CPR were quick to go viral on X (former Twitter). Users reacted with quips, with one user joking, “Me when I accidentally do 365 instead of 360, referring to another track from the same album titled “365.” Another user wrote, “So you perform CPR on a patient whilst playing this in the background.”

Several others criticized the singer’s music, saying, “if someone tries to save my life while singing along to this song i’d rather die ngl.” One more user wrote, “We would need to be saved after having to endure that song so that’s good.”

Other X users praised Charli XCX’s songs, which, according to the American Heart Organization, are just right for CPR. Some called her “mother,” while another wrote, “Not only is she giving us life, she’s saving them too… queen!”

Charli XCX’s “Brat” comprises 15 songs and inspired the Brat summer trend on social media.
