Donald Trump Leaves Bulletproof Enclosure To Help Woman Who Fainted

While speaking at a rally in North Carolina, Donald Trump left the safety of the bulletproof enclosure to help a woman who had fainted during the event. The former President was partially surrounded by bulletproof glass on stage as he spoke at his first outdoor rally after surviving an assassination attempt in July. He headed straight to the woman, enquired about her well-being, and embraced her. Meanwhile, medics also gave the woman immediate treatment.

The rally, held by Donald Trump and JD Vance at Asheboro, North Carolina on Wednesday, August 21, was intended to focus on national security.

Donald Trump’s first rally after shooting incident takes dramatic turn

Donald Trump returned with his outdoor speech in front of thousands of supporters at the North Carolina Aviation Museum and Hall of Fame. This was his first outdoor speech after surviving an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 2024, and a commotion in the crowd took the former President’s attention.

As per The Daily Mail, the crowd asked for a medic and Trump echoed their request, calling for a doctor. He said, “It is very hot here, I notice. It is very hot. A lot of the people waited for days to get here. I understand it. Take your time, doctor, take your time, thank you.”

After a brief pause, the former President left the enclosure of the bulletproof glass around him. He then descended the stairs and headed towards the woman in the crowd. Accompanied by several Secret Service agents, he checked up on the woman, who felt better after medics attended to her. She held a bottle of water as she shook Trump’s hand. Trump then leaned over the barrier to hug her before heading back on stage.

After reaching the stage, Trump thanked the medics for their quick action. He then said, “You know, they come two, three days early and it’s a lot of stress, we lose them. The only ones we don’t lose are the front row Joes, I don’t know what they have going, they have something going here.”

Several other safety measures in addition to the bulletproof glass were taken to ensure Donald Trump’s safety. According to The New York Times, five uniformed personnel guarded the former President from nearby rooftops. Large containers were also stacked for additional protection.
