RRR

‘RRR’ Is the Most Insane Movie You’ve Never Heard Of (Here’s Why it Broke Streaming Records on Netflix)

When it comes to watching a film like S.S Rajamulil’s RRR, the cinematic experience can only be described as the “most” movie ever made.

It has the most of just about everything, and that’s what makes the movie so bonkers. It’s the most over-the-top. It has the most visual effects. The most excess. The most bromance. The most melodrama. The most epic action scenes. The longest runtime. More importantly, it’s the most fun you’ll have watching any big-budget blockbuster this year. It might be perhaps the most awesome movie ever made.

For those who are unaware of the international sensation that is RRR, the film is a 2022 Indian (Telugu) language film. Part of the reason why the movie is such a big deal is that it unites three of Tollywood’s (Telugu Cinema) biggest personalities — Rajamuli, Rama Rao Jr., and Ram Charan. Together, they make RRR, which was the source of the original acronym for the movie.

RRR tells the fictional story of two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Ram Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Rama Rao). Set during the height of the British Raj in the 1920s, the two men strike up a unique friendship that bonds them in their quest to fight against the British occupation of their country. Essentially, the movie asks: What if these two revolutionaries met and became best friends without realizing they were on opposing sides?

Besides the names of the two lead characters themselves, the movie is purely fictional. A film that is basically just a superhero movie with a very loose footing in historical accuracy. In this sense, the movie is like The Avengers of Tollywood movies. As a result, people all over the world have gone absolutely bonkers for RRR, and rightfully so. The movie is three hours of pure awesomeness, and if you haven’t had the pleasure of watching it yet, head on over to Netflix, where it broke streaming records.

In a movie full of pure insanity from head to toe, here are seven of the most awesome moments from RRR that truly stand out.
