After delighting audiences with his colorful metaphors and charismatic wit on AMC’s Breaking Bad from 2009 to 2013, AMC gave us an even deeper look into the backstory of everyone’s beloved sleazy lawyer with Better Call Saul. Alas, we’re now in the final season of Vince Gilligan’s equally brilliant series and need all the Saul Goodman we can get. Much like The Sopranos, shows like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul don’t just randomly pop up on Netflix. On the contrary, these are carefully-crafted shows that are artistic masterpieces that can’t easily be replicated again.
Aside from his signature wit and creative whimsy when taking liberties to defend his questionable clients, Goodman is notorious for his loud and bold style of dress. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to win for his clients, even if that includes calling in one of several “problem-solvers” under his employ, and he’s going to look well when doing it. As Odenkirk’s character went from Jimmy McGill to Saul Goodman, so did his wardrobe. Now that we’re in the final season of Better Call Saul, the transformation from bumbling attorney to bad guy esquire is complete, and us Breaking Bad fans couldn’t be any happier.
But just in case you want to add a little Saul Goodman style to your work life, here’s the Saul Goodman Guide to Getting Dressed For Work.

saul goodman guide to dress
-
1. Embrace bold colors.
Much like how Walter White started out as a meek and ineffectual man with a mundane style of dress, Jimmy McGill went big and bold as Goodman. Be sure to pick loud and powerful colors bright red and dark blue.
-
3. Shine those shoes until they're mirrors.
Even if the Shawshank Redemption taught us that nobody really looks at a man's shoes, Goodman is the exception. His shoes look Italian and super shiny. So make sure your shoes look like you're ready to defend a meth kingpin.
-
3. Go for flashy ties.
Goodman's signature style revolves around his flashy ties. His ties are so important that Better Call Saul devoted an entire montage to them. So be like Saul and get yourself a screaming loud tie.
-
4. Wear it with confidence.
Even if orange shirts and teal ties are really not your thing, it's all in the attitude. Even if you're short or bald, walk into that office like you live in a narco-chic house with all your ill-gotten lawyer gains.
-
5. Get some nice cufflinks.
If you're going to truly dress to the nines like Goodman, bring it altogether with some really nice cufflinks.
-
6. Keep your suit coat on.
One of Saul's least favorite places to be is the desert, even if he always seems to be there. But even under intense duress in life or death situations, Saul always makes sure to never remove his sport coat. He's not quite as suave as Gustavo Fring (who follows the rules of buttoning a suit when you're standing up and unbuttoning it when you sit down), but he's close. So even if you're eating lunch outside and its 100 degrees, keep that suit looking super nice.
