The Boys is not only one of the most diabolical TV shows currently running, but also quite possibly one of the best comic book adaptations ever. Now, the first teaser trailer for the anticipated third season of the Amazon Prime series has upped the ante in terms of being the most insane thing anyone has ever put on film. From the prerequisite blood, guts, and eye lasers to the inclusion of extended dance numbers, this trailer for The Boys Season 3 proves that the show is more unhinged than ever before.
As you can see, this first look at The Boys season 3 forces us to ask — What hell did we just watch? Each season of the series has been more shocking than the last, so it comes as no surprise that the show is going for broke the third time around. There’s some seriously disturbing stuff in this trailer. Homelander is (erotically?) milking a cow and a stars-and-stripes dildo is revealed, not to mention all of the bodily fluids involved. Unsurprisingly, the trailer was “flagged for content” over 20 million times on social media, which sounds about right for a show such as The Boys.
At the very minimum, the first trailer for The Boys actually gives us a new appreciation for Imagine Dragons, which is something we never thought we would hear ourselves say. Suffice to say, this trailer has us more hyped than ever for the new season. The Boys Season 3 is set to premiere on Prime Video with three episodes on June 3. Apparently, three is the magic number for this insane show.
