Chivalry isn’t dead, it’s undead. And the Y chromosome in Hollywood’s hottest vampire couple has proved it once again with this heartwarming interview from back in the day where a much homelier Machine Gun Kelly declares his affections for Kendall Jenner.
At the time, Jenner was just 17, but that didn’t stop MGK from making his feelings clear: “Don’t let me move to LA. Oof, I’m finding her.”
As we all know, Machine Gun Kelly did end up moving to LA, but things never materialized with Jenner. Maybe because she was busy dating Harry Styles back then.
It’s a shame because Kelly had some sweet words for his underage crush. “I’m not waiting until she’s 18, I’ll go now. I’m 23, dog, I’m not like a creepy age, ya know what I’m saying?”
We do know what you’re saying MGK, we do. Not a creepy age per se but a creepy something. The rapper went on to list how his idols would have handled an underage encounter:
“Robert Plant, who is one of the greatest lead singers ever, dated a girl who was 15. Axl Rose was one of the biggest badasses ever, dated a girl who was 16 and wrote a song on his first album about the girl that was 16.”
The timing of the video returning to the spotlight is interesting as MGK just put a ring on girlfriend Megan Fox’s finger. To be fair, the celebrity couple has weathered all kinds of storms together, including a red carpet boxing match with Conor McGregor, a brush with the LAPD, and a few live concert calamities. The beauty of their relationship is that no matter what happens they always choose PDA (or blood sacrifice) over fighting. It’s a tactic we can all learn from.
