Megan Fox Engaged to Machine Gun Kelly in One of the Weirdest Instagram Proposals Ever (We Wouldn’t Expect Anything Less)

In a relationship development that probably everyone saw coming, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are engaged. (Given that their BFFs Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker got engaged months ago, we’re kind of wondering what took them so long.)

They announced the engagement, as one does these days, on Instagram. In the video, a shocked Fox wears some kind of bougie bra-top-and-PJ-pants combo while MGK, dressed like a combat referee, kneels before her at the stop of a strangely grassy staircase. He appears to slip a ring on her finger and they kiss. It all looks very staged and kind of low-budget given their mutual celebrity status.

The caption is probably the longest piece of writing the actress has ever composed in her life. “In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic,” she wrote. “We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.”

(We’re not sure she knows what karma actually means, but…)

“Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him,” Fox continued. “And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes.”

But…wait for it…then it got weird.

“…and then we drank each other’s blood,” concluded the announcement.

And now this is officially the weirdest engagement ever.

The concept of fetishizing each other’s blood is nothing new, though. If you’re old enough, you’ll recall celeb couple Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton beat Fox and Kelly to it, oh, decades ago.

We don’t know if this marriage will make it down the aisle, much less last. One thing’s for sure: these two deserve each other.
