‘Night Teeth’ Has Megan Fox, Vampires and Rideshare Apps, So It’s Either the Best or Worst Movie of 2021

Just in time for the spooky season, Netflix will drop director Adam Randall’s neon-lit, Los Angeles thriller Night Teeth. the obviously very sexy film follows Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (Bumblebee) as a broke student working as a driver who unwittingly picks up two very thirsty females, played by Debby Ryan (Horse Girl) and Lucy Fry (Bright), who are indeed party-hopping vampires. The movie also stars Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), Sydney Sweeney (Once Upon a Time In Hollywood), Raúl Castillo (Army of the Dead), Alexander Ludwig (The Hunger Games), Bryan Batt (Mad Men) Marlene Forte (Knives Out), and Megan Fox (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). That’s right, Megan of the clan Fox. So, prepare yourself for either the best or worst movie of 2021. Check out the trailer below: 

As cliché as vampires have become, this campy mash-up of Collateral and Fright Night looks pretty good. A contemporary romp that flips the whole “stranger danger Uber driver” narrative on its head because yes, the riders are just as dangerous. On top of that, this deep dive into the underground world of soul-suckers beneath LA’s shiny exterior, which is perhaps just a very blatant metaphor, could be the perfect opportunity for supporting player, Fox, to be recognized as more than Machine Gun Kelly’s girlfriend. 

Before Fox was essentially blacklisted for calling Transformers director Michael Bay a creep (have you ever seen Transformers: Age of Extinction? There’s an entire “comedic” soliloquy on the Romeo and Juliet law), she starred in the Diablo Cody-penned horror-comedy Jennifer’s Body. That film more than makes an argument for the actress’ ability to tackle the genre and her latest outing as the vampire elite alongside Reek himself could be a career booster shot. 

Despite being the biggest names in Night Teeth, the latter pair don’t even seem to be a big part of the movie—Fox was mostly likely cast because of her name. Even if the film is a misfire, she can write it off as an interesting experience and move on to whatever movie MGK is directing. Night Teeth is set to be released on Netflix on October 20, 2021. Why wouldn’t they just release it on the nineteenth?
