When you’re out at a bar that has a good jukebox , it can easily be a highlight of the night. Finding the perfect song for the moment can feel so good, there ought to be a name for it in French. Unfortunately, what may feel like serendipity to one person is repetition to another.
Here are some of the most overplayed songs on jukeboxes across the country. We have more music to pick from, so there’s no need to hear these songs for the millionth time. We can do better.

Overplayed Songs Jukebox
'Friends In Low Places' - Garth Brooks
Usually found at the tail end of a night of debauchery, this song has led more than one drunken sing-along. However, we can do better than listening to Garth Brooks talk crap about his friends. When you need a sing-along country song, maybe try something by Willie Nelson instead.
'Low' - Flo Rida
"Apple bottom jeans...boots with the fur..." Everyone knows the way this song goes, so we really don't need to hear this for the millionth time. The song kills it on the dance floor, but there are a million that can do just as well.
'Back In Black' - AC/DC
There's no denying this song wails, but after 30 years of hearing it at stadiums, on commercials, and at every jukebox in town, can we just give it a break? If you need your fix of classic metal, why not throw on some Black Sabbath instead?
'Beat It' - Michael Jackson
Even if new allegations weren't swirling around the (former?) King of Pop, it'd be time to lay this song down to rest for a bit. If you need some funky dance tunes, Prince is right there.
'I Wanna Dance with Somebody' - Whitney Houston
All due respect to Whitney, but this song comes on whenever there's a bachelorette party or girls' night out. It's a fine song, but can't we pick another song about dancing? There are a few to choose from.
'God's Plan' - Drake
Drake is now a walking meme, and while his music can still be amazing, we don't need to fall back on the same two or three songs when we hit the jukebox. Instead of playing "God's Plan," why not go for a lesser-known Drake song?
'Sweet Home Alabama' - Lynyrd Skynyrd
We get it, Lynyrd Skynyrd loves the South. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but if we have to hear about Alabama one more time in this context, bottles are getting thrown.
