Jessica Simpson left the stage in tears at the Kennedy Center Honors last night after screwing up the lyrics to honoree Dolly Parton’s hit, “9 to 5”:
Simpson ended her performance abruptly with the words “so nervous” and quickly exited the stage. The stunned audience remained silent, giving her no applause. Simpson appeared to be crying when she and other singers in the tribute returned to the stage.”
This pretty much sums up Jessica’s year. She divorced Nick because she thought every dude wanted her, but she ended up trolling for dates online. Her album, “A Public Affair,” debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 then quickly fell off the face of the Earth, selling less than half the copies of her debut album. Her movie, Employee of the Month, barely broke even. The only way this year could get any worse for Jessica is if she got prostate cancer.
