Busta Rhymes’ bodyguard, Israel Ramirez, was shot and killed during a shootout on the Brooklyn set of Busta’s new video for “Touch It (Remix)”. Missy Elliot, DMX, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, and several G-Unit members including Lloyd Banks were part of the 500 people who were gathered on the ninth-floor sound stage. Investigators took possession of a nearby parked car that was hit by the gunfire. They were still trying to determine early Monday what led to the violence.
As part of the viewing public, I realize that some things just go so well together you’re disappointed when they don’t happen. Hockey games and fights. Funny home videos and nut shots. Britney Spears and an airbrush. Rap and unnecessary violence. If I had a choice of being dropped out of a plane over Afghanistan and working on a rap video, my only question would be, “Now, I do get a parachute, right?”
