Kirsten Dunst is a self-important bitch

People sometimes wonder why we hate Kirsten Dunst so much. This story from Contact Music should help:

“Kirsten Dunst insists she was the perfect choice to play MARIE-ANTOINETTE in a new biopic of the tragic French queen – because they have shared similar life experiences. And while Dunst admits she’s wary of how critics will receive the SOFIA COPPOLA-directed movie, she’s certain she shares a lot of similarities with the young royal.

The way that I grew up, starting so young, working on movie sets and being with all these older people – I could really relate to having people around you who always want something.”

To be fair, there are some eerie similarities quickly found in any online bio. This from the first line on Wikipedia:

– “Marie Antoinette was Queen of France and Archduchess of Austria. She was the daughter of the Holy Roman Emperor Francis I and his wife Empress Maria Theresa, wife of Louis XVI, and mother of Louis XVII.”

– “Kirsten Caroline Dunst was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. She is an American actress of German and Swedish descent. Her name is pronounced ‘KEER-sten,’ not ‘KUR-sten’.”

But wait, there’s more:

– “As a child, Maria Antonia met the young child genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He performed a short musical concert for the Imperial Family.”

– “As a child, Dunst appeared in a 1988 episode of Saturday Night Live, she played the role of President George H.W. Bush’s granddaughter, in a sketch where Dana Carvey acted as President Bush.”

– “(Antoinette’s) future husband, the Dauphin Louis-Auguste was shy, awkward and distant. He was only a year older than she was and had no sexual or romantic relationships to prepare him for dealing with his fiancee. The marriage was not consummated that night. Rather, it seems that no one had explained to either Louis or Marie Antoinette what they were supposed to do on their wedding night.”

– “Kirsten Dunst is currently dating hottie Jake Gyllenhaal.”

– “Marie Antoinette’s magnificent gown was ordered from the fashion house of Paris’s most exclusive designer, Rose Bertin … but she had grown frail …”

– Kirsten Dunst wore a Les Miserables shirt one time and hugs people like she’s Mr. Burns.

– “Marie Antoinette went down in history as shallow, weak, self-indulgent and stupid…”

– Kirsten Dunst compared herself to Marie Antoinette.
