Golf is an extremely difficult sport.
If it’s not a narrow fairway lined with dozens of trees on each side, it’s a green with a cup placed right in the middle of a drop-off because the greenskeeper found out the night before that his wife was sleeping with the club pro, so now everybody is going to share in his pain. And that’s when everybody in your foursome is standing silent out of the way, so it’s just you, the ball, your club and the target.
Now imagine how hard the game becomes when you’re being attacked by a goose.
According to Click On Detroit, that actually happened to a high school golfer in Michigan over the weekend. Luckily for the poor bastard who was attacked, we can all laugh at it today because he left the scene unharmed, but anybody who has ever been attacked by one of these nut jobs will tell you that it could have been much worse.

Just look at a closer look at this:
“The golfers just finished teeing off and were walking down the fairway. To the left there was a goose nest and the golfers did a good job of avoiding it but the guard goose (hanging out on the far right) thought differently,” the Blissfield High School Athletics Department wrote, adding that only the golfer’s pride was injured in the process.

Wow. So do you give him a birdie for his efforts?
Seriously, congrats to that kid for finishing the rest of his round with both of his eyes still in his sockets and no need for a fresh set of drawers.
