A lot of guys would gladly be all about having Katy Perry make-out them. But one guy that appeared on American Idol was not, and he had no problem telling everyone about it.
Since you probably missed the two-night premiere of American Idol, you probably missed the awkward moment that Perry decided to kiss a 19-year-old contestant (and cashier) named Benjamin Glaze. This coming after the Oklahoma native revealed that he had never kissed a girl before because he’s “never been in a relationship.” The 33-year-old singer then of course invited Glaze to kiss her on the cheek.
This is what happened:
And as many guys as would have been into that, Glaze was not. Here’s what he told The New York Times.
“I was a tad bit uncomfortable. I wanted to save it for my first relationship. I wanted it to be special. Would I have done it if she said, ‘Would you kiss me?’ No, I would have said no. I know a lot of guys would be like, ‘Heck yeah!’ But for me, I was raised in a conservative family and I was uncomfortable immediately. I wanted my first kiss to be special.”
Obviously you have to respect this guy’s morals, and you have to respect him having no problem revealing he wasn’t all about Perry, but then again…it’s Katy Perry we’re talking about…
But hey, we like what we like.
