Hot Or Not? ‘Karma Is A B**ch’ Is The Newest Meme Sweeping The Internet

In the days before YouTube or Facebook, there was a little site called Hot or Not. If you’re unfamiliar, don’t waste your time looking it up. It was essentially a cheap thrill, a way for people to post their picture on the internet and have countless strangers rate them, asking the question — are they hot or not?

‘Karma is a b**ch’ is the latest meme circling the net. It comes straight out of China, because, of course. And it reminds me of Hot or Not, only it’s more clever. People are also making it down right hilarious.

Here’s the meme. It starts with a person doing a video selfie. They then mouth the words “karma is a b**ch” to the track from this scene of Riverdale, before lifting up some sort of covering — and with some clever editing — revealing their inner ‘karmic’ self, or simply, better-looking self.
