While it may be a brand new year, it’s the same old binge-hungry dance we’ll do in 2018. Thankfully, there’s a long list of some of the most addictive shows running on Netflix right now, and we’re ranking them just to show you that you’re not crazy for binging them all to death.
While we’re excited for the return of heavy hitters like Stranger Things and Master of None on down the road, right now we’ve got new seasons from our favorite anthology shows, Easy and Black Mirror. And to boot, we’ve got a handful of newcomers that are earning their way into our addictive psyche, including Godless and The End of the Fucking World. All we have to do now is quit our job, break up with our girlfriend and find somebody to watch our cats for the next 12 months, but after that, it’ll be back to normal, promise.
Watch as we rank the most addictive, binge-worthy shows running on Netflix. If that’s not enough, maybe you should get yourself a hobby this year, like learning to read actual, physical books .
Ranking The 12 Most Addictive Shows Running On Netflix In 2018
Addictive Netflix
12. "Easy"
Season two of the Chicago anthology series came out just in time for our winter hibernation binge season. Starring Malin Akerman, Dave Franco and a special appearance from Emily Ratajkowski , it's a quick and necessary underrated miniseries.
11. "Glow"
If Easy didn't have enough Marc Maron for you, how about him and a bunch of gorgeous ladies wrestling? We're SOLD on GLOW.
10. "Narcos"
With three seasons in the bag, Narcos is easily our favorite crime series. It's got '80s history, cocaine and Colombia, and it's also hugely inspiring (to never start a drug cartel).
9. "Master of None"
He was our favorite side character on Parks & Recreation , and he's killing it solo. After winning a Golden Globe for Master of None, we're excited for some extensive Aziz binging when season three arrives. However, Ansari has said people need to chill out. While May is the typical release date, we're expecting a longer wait, but, no worries, he says he'll make this show until he's dead.
8. "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee"
What could be more addicting with your morning coffee than some comedians in cool cars?Crackle couldn't do crap for such a big name, kind of like Hulu wasting everyone's time with Seinfeld, so we're going to enjoy these short, spontaneous episodes with awesome people until Netflix eventually buys everyone out and we have all the Jerry all the time.
7. "Mindhunter"
This little ditty slipped right under our noses late last year, and its debut season gave us something to latch onto and avoid our families during the holidays. With David Fincher and Charlize Theron behind the scenes, how could they go wrong?
6. "Godless"
Is this Netflix's answer for HBO's Westworld? We've been in the market for a good western with some outlaws. It's kind of like 3:10 to Yuma meets The Revenant without all the animal slaughtering.
5. "The End of the Fucking World"
Don't be surprised if this brand new baby becomes the most addictive show of the new year. A young Dexter Morgan in training befriends another 17-year-old to find her estranged father. Loose-lip potty mouths and a weird young love ensue.
4. "Ozark"
Any midwesterner will suddenly realize they're not safer in the middle of nowhere when they see Jason Bateman leave the city for the Lake of the Ozarks, where he'll launder money for some scary folks in last-ditch effort to save his family.
3. "Black Mirror"
There is nothing stranger, more unique, addictive or terrifying than an anthology about the potential of the modern man. Season 4 seems to be just as fucked up as the rest, and it's only going to get weirder, as this poignant show teaches us a few lessons we won't learn in the classroom.
2. "Stranger Things"
People say season two was a letdown, but in actuality, it's one of the best seasons of TV yet to follow an original masterpiece. It was essentially the Ghostbusters reboot we always wanted. Genius. Of course, use four kids instead of four grown adult women, or adults in general.
1. "Peaky Blinders"
The Cillian Murphy-led Birmingham brawl of 1920s gangsters is at its height right now in season four with at least one more season and a potential movie ahead. The show is the most addictive binge, as it gives us only six episodes per season, which you could knock out on a sick day, but you also have to have restraint, lest it be gone for a year and you're left pining for more.
