You ever found yourself repeatedly hitting the elevator button because you think the more you push it the faster the elevator will come? Or how about that crosswalk button? You ever push it over and over again even though you know deep down that doesn’t do a damn thing? Well the reason I bring this up is because last night a Jeopardy! contestant named Ben Raphel was going bonkers on his buzzer.
Raphel, a healthcare data analyst, who was the returning champ with one-day winnings of over $25,000, found himself trying to defend his championship. And how did he try to defend it? By making sure he broke his buzzer. At least that’s what it looked like to us.

And guess what? Even after pushing the hell out of his buzzer Raphel still ended up losing as new contestant, Lakedra Pam ended up winning with $24,801.
Well, Raphel tried to keep his winning streak alive, but it looks like he didn’t push his buzzer hard enough.
