Stealing tips from anyone is a pretty awful thing to do, but one woman didn’t care how it made her look as she had no problem stealing her Uber driver’s tips.
The incident occurred in New York City a few months ago but is just now making the rounds again. In the video you see the Uber driver driving around three passengers, with one of the passengers, a woman, only wearing a bra. Well wouldn’t you know it, but it’s this trash can on legs that sticks her hand inside the tip box and takes the cash before running off. Oh, and she looks directly at the camera in the car while doing it.

The Uber driver complained to Uber about the incident, but reports that this was the response they gave him:
“We understand your frustration with this experience. We’ve attempted to contact the rider by phone and email, but haven’t been able to resolve this issue. The rider responded to us and advised us that she didn’t steal your cash from the tip jar. If you believe the rider has your cash as captured from your dash cam and is refusing to return it, you may want to initiate a formal investigation via the police.”
As of this moment the drive has not filed a police report, but Uber reports that the woman has been banned from ever using the service again.
“What’s been shown has no place on our app and the rider’s access to the app has been removed,” a spokesman for Uber said.
Here’s hoping this lady used the cash for something important — like a shirt.
