Samsung Throws Serious Shade At The iPhone In Their Latest Ad

When I first bought an iPhone in 2007, I felt like I was on top of the world. Not since I owned a Motorola Razr did I feel more like I was on the cutting edge of cellphone technology, touching a screen like something straight out of a sci-fi movie.

In 2017, iPhone has a bunch of competitors vying for smartphone supremacy. While I’ve stayed loyal to my trusty Apple device, Samsung’s newest commercial has them pointing out all the flaws I — and a lot of others — have had for the last decade.

Samsung Throws Shade At iPhone In Latest Ad

In an ad titled “Growing Up,” Samsung takes shots at Apple, focusing on the various issues the iPhone has been attached to over the years. From comparably smaller screens to the inexplicable necessity for a dongle, Samsung called out its biggest competitor and held nothing back.

Wow, the tech beef is getting real.

The ad dropped on the heels of Apple releasing the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. The latter model will run you $1,000, so if you have an extra G lying around or are a card-carrying member of the Apple Club/Cult/Mafia, the X is right up your alley.

This isn’t the first time cellphone companies have mocked each other. Microsoft took their jabs at Apple and Samsung a few years ago, playing spectator to the ongoing fight between the two other companies’ customers who got into an all-out rumble. Marketing complete with low blows and smashing guitars, y’all.

Despite all the real issues pointed out in this ad, iPhone users are probably going to stick with their brand because they’re stubborn and don’t want to buy any more technology.
