21st Century Funniest Movies Comedy Fans Aren’t Too Good For

Grandma’s Boy (2006)

The most well-known movie out of the list, but is still one of the most underrated comedies of the century while being one of the best at the same time. If you’ve seen it, you’ll know why it falls into the category of toilet humor. If not, you’ll see some of the most twisted, yet somehow real characters Hollywood comedic writers ever created. Joel David Moore and Nick Swardson particularly shine as two very memorable characters.

Fired Up! (2009)

Movies with simple, unrealistic premises are movies comedy fans don’t overlook and pass off as unworthy before seeing them. Fired Up! is as predictive and mushy as teenage comedies can go, but it still delivers on the laughs in abundance. But with a premise of two football players who pretend their way into a cheer camp so they’ll be surrounded by 300 girls, you couldn’t expect less.

Mardi Gras: Spring Break (2011)

As immature as comedies can go. Tits, bodily functions, and swear words galore in this debauchery of a movie about a group of guys on their trip to New Orleans. It’s a perfect example of these movies comedy critics love to bash for being too shallow, disgusting, in bad taste. And it’s all that, but it’s still funny. Alongside Fired Up! it’s a second movie starring Nicholas D’Agosto, who subscribed to these kinds of heartthrob roles in dirty comedy movies.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001)

A movie about two sideshows of every early Kevin Smith movie is not something that is attractive to everyone, and the movie is well-aware of that it is in itself a bad idea. The very beginning of the movie depicts what’s it’s going to be even though adventures of the two unlikely heroes take some wild and unexpected turns. Great cameos, refined comedy direction, and a road trip with two very dirty buddies is what’s in store with Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

These movies comedy critics condemn and enthusiasts love to reference will not win any prizes, but will put a smile on your face regardless of how you feel at the moment. Life’s too short to be snobby about comedy.
