Yeah, now he’s really going to be late.
According to the Daily Mail, a driver aboard the Protoporos IV ferry vessel that was seconds away from docking in a Crimean port decided that he just couldn’t wait any longer and hit the gas.
Let’s see if it paid off:

Yeah, it did not.
The idiot behind the wheel was reportedly OK, which is miraculous when you consider that he not only plunged into the water below, but he could have also been crushed by the ferry if not for a fast-acting captain and seaman at the front of the boat.
Emergency divers and rescue teams quickly arrived on the scene, and both the dude and his car were pulled from the water.
It’s unknown why the guy was in such a hurry to get off the boat, but our guess is that DVRs have yet to make their way to the Crimean Peninsula and the finale of Orphan Black was set to air in less than 10 minutes. And let’s hope that’s the case, as any other reason for driving off of a moving boat would be totally ludicrous.
