Golden State Warriors Individual League Achievements
GSW has some very powerful individuals on their roster right now and has had them for years, so there are some equally impressive, league-wide individual achievements in the Dub nation. NBA Finals MVP for instance, which Rick Barry won in 1975, and Andre Iguodala in 2015. Quite possibly they will add another this year.
Most Valuable Player awards were won three times by the Warriors players, Wilt Chamberlain in 1960, and Stephen Curry in 2015 and 2016. This year it seems that it won’t be a GSW player, rather Russell Westbrook.
Golden State Warriors have had some heavy artillery players on their roster, so they have had six different NBA Scoring Champions – Joe Fulks in 1947, Paul Arizin in 1952 and 1957, Neil Johnston did it in 1953 and 1955, while Wilt won it in succession between 1960 and 1964. Rick Barry in 1967 was the last one to win this accolade in a Warriors jersey before Steph did it in 2016.
Philadelphia Warriors Wilt Chamberlain scored most points in a game – 100, vs. New York Knicks in 1962. He also had the most points in a half in this game – 59. But another Warriors player holds the record for most points in a quarter – Klay Thompson (37) vs. Sacramento Kings, two years ago.
Wilt Chamberlain is the all time rebounds leader in the NBA with 23,924 recoveries, although, he didn’t make them all with the Warriors, of course. He also holds the record for the most rebounds in a game, incredible 55 back in 1960.

Stephen Curry Records
– NBA record for most three-pointers made in a game (13)
– NBA record for most points scored in an overtime period (17)
– NBA regular season record for made three-pointers (402)
– NBA record for most consecutive regular season games with a made three-pointer (157)
– NBA record for most consecutive playoff games with a made three-pointer (75)
– NBA record for most three-pointers made in single playoffs (98 – tied with Klay Thompson)
Curry needs a 1,000 more three pointers to surpass Ray Allen as the NBA player with the most three pointers made. So, another three seasons if this trend continues. Expect a lot of Golden State news in the future to be about record breaking.
Golden State Warriors Best Record
Golden State Warriors also hold the famous record of the best performance in a season they recorded last year when they went 73-9. Also, they had the best start ever by going 24–0 at the beginning of the last season. But, as we all know, the season didn’t result in them getting the fifth NBA championship, but to Lebron earning another ring.
There are other individual and team records the Golden State Warriors have made as basketball data scientist are always calculating, but these are the ones that matter the most.
What other NBA or franchise records do you think the current Golden State Warriors roster will break?
