Rejoice, Matt Okine fans! The first official trailer for the Aussie comedian’s new Stan-based comedy series The Other Guy has dropped and so, too, have ya boi’s dacks.
Yep, the triple j brekky graduate is baring all in the ~cheeky~ sneak peek of the new show, which he penned with fellow LOLsmiths Becky Lucas and Greg Waters.
The seemingly semi-autobiographical romp unfolds the tale of AJ (played by Okine), a breakfast radio DJ (sound familiar?) who’s trying to keep his sh*t together after splitting with his girlfriend of 10 years.
It features plenty of other familiar faces including Harriet Dyer, Michael Hing, Bondi Hipsters‘ Christian Van Vuuren and rapper Briggs (because of course), and there also seems to be plenty of drama to accompany the LOLs. NB: the excellent line, “AJ, This is not Masterchef. You don’t burst into tears and move on to the next episode.” #word
“I’m insanely proud of what we’ve made,” Okine says.
The Other Guy lands on Stan on 17th August, but for now you can catch the teaser trailer below.
