Do people still love the ’90s Jim Henson series Dinosaurs, or do they simply love to hate Donald Trump? It’s a question I’ve been asking myself since a video comparing the two went viral several months ago. Again, there are those people who really love dinosaurs in general, but that couldn’t possibly translate to the numbers that video reached.
Fortunately, it appears that people really do respond to the old ABC sitcom, even without the POTUS being involved. That was the lesson learned on Twitter last night when a single tweet from Jen Lewis changed the world. Or, at least that segment of the world that loves ’90s nostalgia.
Here’s the tweet, along with the individual pictures that came with it:
Jurassic Park Starring The Dinosaurs From Dinosaurs Is Way Funnier
*Clears throat as if to announce something extremely important*
“Jurassic Park” but the dinosaurs are from the ‘90s TV show “Dinosaurs” pic.twitter.com/PMhfbuUlbX— Jen Lewis (@thisjenlewis) June 28, 2017
The response was so overwhelmingly positive that a second tweet complete with even more shots of the Sinclair family simply had to be blasted out to the adoring public.
Need more confirmation that this mashup needs to happen on the big screen? Say no more, as Jen went ahead and provided proof of concept. It’s safe to say our love for the premise won’t be going extinct anytime soon.
