Abraham Woodhull may have escaped the hangman’s noose in the third season finale of Turn: Washington’s Spies, but the American Revolution is far from over. And the Culper Ring is facing its greatest threat yet, now that Benedict Arnold fulfilled his destiny by betraying Washington to the British and jeopardizing everything that he had previously fought for.
This weekend, Turn: Washington’s Spies will return to AMC with two back-to-back episodes as the series begins its final season. Abe’s quest to end British rule will take on an even more personal tone this season, as Arnold attempts to tear down and destroy his former allies. As for Washington himself, he has to keep his army together in the face of seemingly impossible odds.
In our exclusive preview scene from the fourth season premiere, Washington is given a possible solution to one of his problems by his wife, Martha, as played by Lilli Birdsell. And that call to action may prove to make all of the difference in the war effort.
