SHOWTIME has released the key art and announced the premiere date for the second season of DICE.
Season two of the comedy series will return with seven new, half-hour episodes Sunday, August 20 at 10:30pm ET/PT on SHOWTIME on air, on demand and over the internet.
Here’s the story behind the hit show DICE: Twenty-five years after taking the entertainment world by storm, Andrew Dice Clay is eager to reclaim his comedy throne. But that’s easier said than done. He still comes across as his bad boy self — loaded with swagger and bravado. But his offstage life tells a different story, as he deals with a demanding girlfriend, two kids, mounting gambling debt and all of life’s obstacles that keep him from being a stand up guy. Watch these two worlds collide hilariously in the outrageous, semi-autobiographical series DICE.
According to a media release, the scripted series will dig deeper into the unconventional world of Andrew Dice Clay – beyond the character who once sold out Madison Square Garden. The unemployed comic struggles to restart his career and deals with the effects of his outrageous brand of fame, all while living in the Vegas suburbs with his girlfriend Carmen (Natasha Leggero).
Created by Scot Armstrong (Old School, The Hangover Part II), DICE chronicles Clay as he tries to live his life while trapped in the skin of “The Diceman.” The series also stars Kevin Corrigan and Natasha Leggero. Season two guest stars include David Arquette, Andy Daly, Patrick Fischler, and Billy Gardell.
