It’s about damned time.
It’s about damned time for a Wonder Woman movie, and it’s about damned time we saw a proper clip from the movie. The trailers have looked impressive so far, but trailers are misleading by design. We now have a decent look at how an honest-to-goodness scene from Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman movie plays out, with action, humor and an original score to boot… and it looks great.
Make no mistake, we haven’t seen all of Wonder Woman yet and we may not necessarily love the finished product, but this is an encouraging piece of the film to unveil to the public. Wonder Woman is a classic superhero and Patty Jenkins has put some classic derring-do in this sequence, which finds Diana (Gal Gadot, Fast and Furious 6) and Steve Trevor (Chris Pine, Star Trek Beyond) facing off against gun-toting, fedora-clad bad guys in an alleyway. It doesn’t take long for Wonder Woman to demonstrate why she’s got “wonder” in her name, and it doesn’t take long for Jenkins to prove she knows how to film an exciting action sequence.

If the rest of the movie is as good as this clip, we’re in for quite a treat this summer. If not, well, that’ll be disappointing. We’ll let you know as soon as we possibly can, and you’ll be able to find out for yourself when Wonder Woman arrives in theaters on June 2, 2017.
