With the world going to shit, you could see it coming from a mile away. Yes, I’m talking about the return of emo.
Leading the charge of brooding, all-black, bang wearers is Fall Out Boy, who have announced a new album entitled M A N I A out September 15 via Island/DCD2. It doesn’t get more emo than that, right?

Well, not so fast as Pete Wentz and his Fall Out Boys (I forget the singer’s name), have gotten a Millennial-makeover with an updated EDM sound that sounds like a Skrillex remix of one of their trademark emo-pop songs like “Centuries”. Check out the video for the new single “Young and Menace” below.
“It’s hard to rationalize rage – it’s hard to quantify anxiety… this song does neither, it embraces the wave…,” says bassist and lyricist Wentz says.
Fall Out Boy will embark on a North American tour this fall: check out their itinerary below. Proceeds of ticket sales will be donated to the Fall Out Boy Fund, which gives to charities in Chicago. The group’s last album was 2015’s American Beauty/American Psycho.
