Only in Vegas.
This was not something that was part of a show. This was actually real, and of course Vegas is the only place where a dude dressed up like Superman and beating up some dude would be considered normal.
The video below, filmed by Matthew Biondic, shows a man dressed up as Superman fighting with what looks like a homeless man, while, and get this, another man dressed up as Batman looks on. Yep, that happened. You can see in the video ‘Superman’ continue to hit the man in the head, while other people yell at the man in tights to let the homeless man go.

So what in the hell kicked all this off? Well, here’s what ‘Superman,’ street performer James Rich had to say.
“It’s kind of funny that I got so many hits on YouTube for it. That’s not what I wanted to be on YouTube for…The way this whole thing even started was he ended up assaulting the Batman I was with,” Rich said. “It was with a traffic cone, in a sexual way.”
According to Rich, ‘Batman’ and the man fought first, but then he jumped in and shoved the man. Rich also warned the man to stop fighting, or he’d be forced to fight back. Hey, Superman tries to keep it civil until you piss him off.
“He apparently thought I was joking,” Rich said. “I defended myself. I guess I lost my temper a little bit more. He just wasn’t willing to stop.”
Rich doesn’t want people to look at street performers in a negative light because of this video, though.
“We’re just regular people trying to make a living,” Rich said. “It may not be the easiest or the best way but it’s all we have at the moment.”
Don’t worry, Superman. We totally understand.
