According to UPI, a 25-year-old man being dropped off outside of a hotel in British Columbia for a recent environmental training course was ironically trampled by a deer that was being chased by a dog.

Because the tackle took place on April 1, many people thought that Cary McCook was making an April Fool’s Day joke when he posted surveillance footage of the moment he got tackled by Bambi outside of the Stork Nest Inn in Smithers to his Facebook page.
“I was in shock at the time and then I jumped on the phone automatically,” McCook said. “Mind you, this is April 1st. So everyone is thinking April Fool’s this and April Fool’s that. I call my Mom and then I tell her, ‘Mom, I got hit by a deer.’ She couldn’t believe it. She’s like, ‘All right, Cary, good one.’ I’m like, ‘No, I’m serious. I got hit by a deer in front of my hotel room.’ She wouldn’t believe me.”
The deer is reportedly fine and just a huge Ray Lewis fan.
