Kudos To This Hero Who Saved A Man From Subway Tracks Just As The Train Was Arriving

Now you might think that surviving a subway ride while surrounded by the smell of piss and by someone who may or may not be touching himself might make you a hero, but it’s the guy in this news story that is the true hero.

Jonathan Kulig, a 29-year-old man was getting off a Manhattan-bound train when he saw another man fall onto the tracks on the opposite platform. So what did Kulig do? Well without hesitation Kulig jumped down onto the tracks and scooped up the man moments before the L train arrived at the station.

“I didn’t think. I just kind of did it,” Kulig told the NY Post.

The guy was barely conscious, and according to other people the man had been staggering around and bumping into things before he fell onto the tracks.

Check out video of the rescue filmed by a dude who preferred filming rather than helping. But hey, at least now we get to see what happened.

Luckily for the guy who fell on the tracks, Kulig works for Con Ed, and had just gone through the MTA’s track-safety training program last month.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

And that’s just your feel-good story of the day. But don’t worry, more horrible news will soon confront us again.
