Becoming a celebrity is no easy task. They’ve had to overcome numerous obstacles on their thorny path to stardom and most of them, at some point in their career, did something they aren’t quite proud of to make it by in an unforgiving world we live in. Let’s take a look at some of the celebrities who did porn sometime during their career and how it has affected their lives. The fact is that it’s all part of the Hollywood life.
Simon Rex
The first person on our infamous list is Simon Rex. You might not be familiar with this name, but chances are you’ve seen this actor in a couple of comedies over the years, the most famous one certainly being Scary Movie. He appeared in the third movie as a younger, rapper brother to Charlie Sheen’s character. Sure, his performance wasn’t Oscar-worthy, but he’s still an actor and can be called a celebrity. Well, his acting career wasn’t always as “glamorous” as it is today. In fact, when he was just 19, he posed nude for a magazine and just a year later starred in a gay porn movie (and not just one). He forgot about this lifestyle when he joined MTV in 1995 and later started appearing in movies and even began his own career in rap music. Nowadays, he’s dedicated to his music and making trash comedies, but it’s unlikely he’ll become Daniel Day-Lewis anytime soon.
Sibel Kekilli
Another actress you might not know by name, but certainly by her looks, especially if you’re a Game of Thrones fan, is Sibel Kekilli. Although she’s been working as an actress in Germany since 2004, she only came to prominence on a world scale in 2011 when she appeared in the epic Game of Thrones as Shae, Tyrion Lannister‘s love interest. What you probably didn’t know about Sibel is the fact that before her career took off in Germany, she tried her luck in a number of different occupations. For a while, she was a bouncer (if you can believe it), a waitress, a manager of a nightclub, as well as a pornographic actress. If you Google her name (which we’re not saying you should), chances are you’ll stumble upon some of her early work. Sibel has been out of the spotlight in recent years, but there’s no doubt that she’ll return to the screen soon.
Dave Navarro
By now, you’re probably asking yourself, why are we only bringing you the people whose names you don’t really know and claim that they are celebrities. Well, because we’re trying to expand your mind and, in a way, educate you. Sure, knowing these people won’t save your life or anything, but still can’t hurt. Anyways, Dave Navarro is a famous guitarist from the ’90s that has collaborated with numerous musicians over the years and was a part of Red Hot Chilli Peppers for a while. You might also remember him from his collaboration with Christina Aguilera (if you can even remember her) on “Fighter,” or Alannis Morissette’s angry “You Oughta Know.” Despite his fame and overall recognition in the world of music, after a while, he decided to take up a somewhat different career, so he became a porn director. Nowadays, he’s not as popular as he once was, but he could still make a comeback when you least expect it.
Tom Sizemore
Tom Sizemore‘s name has over the years become synonymous with disaster in the glamorous world of celebrities. A long time ago, he was everyone’s favorite choice for a supporting role, but his uncontrollable lifestyle and excessive use of opiates pretty much destroyed his career and alienated him from others in Hollywood. What’s even worse is the fact that he doesn’t seem to mind. His problem with substance abuse stems from his adolescent years and has led to a number of unpleasant situations, but he hit an all-time low in 2005 when he decided to get into the porn business by setting up a website and releasing a number of homemade sex videos of himself and various anonymous girls, possibly prostitutes. He even claimed that one of them was Paris Hilton. In recent years, he had been arrested on suspicions of domestic abuse and injured a stuntman while filming Shooter. It seems that he has no intention of slowing down.
Sylvester Stallone
This kind of erratic behavior is not something that you would associate with our next celebrity on this list. In fact, Sylvester Stallone is one of those rare level-headed celebrities that worked hard to get to where he is now and isn’t ashamed of his past. We all know the story about the movie Rocky and how Stallone had to even sell his dog to finance it. Sure, after its success, he bought it back and got his life in order, but back in the day, he was really struggling to make ends meet. So, in 1970, he starred in his first softcore porn film called The Party at Kitty and Stud’s. The film didn’t feature anything too explicit and brought Stallone $200 of pay for two-days work, which was enough to keep him off the streets. After Rocky became an international hit, the porn movie was re-labeled as the Italian Stallion, in an effort to make money off Stallone. Either way, it’s refreshing to see a celebrity who isn’t ashamed of his humble beginnings.
Cameron Diaz
Finally, there’s a name that you never thought you’d see on this list – Cameron Diaz. This exceptionally charming and beautiful Hollywood actress struggled like everyone else to reach the stardom. It meant doing any job that came along the way, including shooting a topless editorial when she was only 19 by one scummy photographer John Rutter. The S&M editorial was never released, but the video of the shoot remained in Rutter’s possession for years while he patiently waited for his chance. In 2003, before the movie, Charlie’s Angels, was about to be released, Rutter decided to blackmail the star with the video that later surfaced online under the name She’s No Angel. Obviously, Cameron sued him, he went to jail and the video was taken off the web. Just in case you’re curious, the images from the video can still be tracked down on the web, but it requires some effort. Still going strong as an actress, Diaz is set to appear in the rumored fifth Shrek sequel in 2020.
