Ottawa Bluesfest has released the various acts taking to the stage this summer (and believe me, they’re varied!). Running from July 6-16, here are the top 5 Bluesfest performers on the bill this year.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Iconic rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have been performing since the late 1970s, and they’re a headlining act at Ottawa Bluesfest. The band released Hypnotic Eye in July 2014, and Nobody’s Children digitally in 2015.
Pink
Putting out The Albums… So Far! in 2015, this busy mom of two has won three Grammy awards and six MTV Video Music Awards. She was also a part of the folk duo You+Me.
Muse
Muse is making their rounds on the festival circuit this summer. Recently announced as performers at Osheaga in Montreal, they’ll also be one of the headliners at Ottawa Bluesfest.
Toby Keith
With an incredible 17 studio albums under his country belt, Toby Keith has had sixty-one singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. He was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2015. He hasn’t put out a studio album since 2015’s 35 MPH Town.
50 Cent
An unexpected addition to the Ottawa Bluesfest bill (but will nonetheless be a big draw), 50 Cent will be releasing Street King Immortal, his sixth studio album, sometime this year. This follows a string of rescheduling its release, which was originally slated for 2011.
